Chief Donnacona, Haudenosaunee, of the Great Law of Peace died in 1539 in France, on a diplomatic visit to French monarch, King Francis I.

Three Mohawk Chiefs and a Mahican Chief members of the Great Law of Peace traveled to London on a diplomatic mission to meet with Queen Anne, Monarch of the Family of Stuart, in 1710.
